The APDA Symptom Tracker app assists in monitoring your symptoms, such as tremors, rigidity, balance, and non-motor symptoms. It enables you to create a report for sharing with your healthcare team or saving in your library. This data can then be used in consultations with your doctor to access more personalized resources and support.
The latest update to the APDA Symptom Tracker App introduces several new features. This includes an interactive medication tracker where you can input the specific medications/doses and their timing to help identify opportunities for enhanced symptom management, which is a critical and often complex aspect of living with PD. Additionally, the app is now fully available in Spanish, uniquely designed for and by Spanish-speaking individuals rather than a mere translation from the English version.
Furthermore, it offers a more detailed user profile that allows sharing of your main PD challenges so that APDA can develop programs and services tailored to better meet the needs of the PD community. The app also provides useful notifications and reminders like prompting you to regularly input medications and symptoms, push notifications about educational programs, updates on treatments, and reminders to prepare information for your clinician before appointments.
Over time, the reports generated by the app can help your healthcare team better understand the frequency of your PD symptoms.
